"Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in love, in faith and in purity" - 1 Timothy 4:12
Who are we?
The Koramangala Methodist Church – Home-AwayFrom-Home(HAH) - Young People Equipping Series(YPES) is the fellowship for students, working adults, newly married couples, who join together once in a month and encourage one another, to grow in the Lord. This group aims at equipping young people with the basic needs in all aspects of life, professional, personal & even spiritual. With the support of the Church, we enjoy a conducive environment for youngsters to nurture great friendships and establish a vibrant relationship with our living and loving God.
The Fellowship:
We as believers in Christ, meet to have fellowship on first Saturday of every month at 6:00Pm for a time of singing, sharing, praying, to hear what God’s word tells us to do to overcome the world and group activities. This meet is not like the usual Sunday service, it’s more of what we face in our daily life and it is discussion oriented. We usually select the topics are selected based on our requests and needs. Our fellowship time is lively and laughter filled as we explore God’s goodness to each one of us and as a fellowship. We can share our struggles and personal challenges with our prayer partners. We eagerly look forward to the spirit-filled, application oriented messages that we hear and God has been ministering to people during this time and all Glory be to His name alone. We end the service with a fellowship dinner by 8:30pm
People, who are part of the HAH, have been benefited from the strong ties of Christian friendship, encouragement of fellow believers, growing in the knowledge and practical understanding of God’s word and all the while having clean fun. It’s a unique privilege to be part of such a group of youngsters who are committed, concerned and caring.
We are thankful to God and the Church for the opportunity to gather like this and learn many things to glorify God.
"In the fellowship, we find a stronger family relationship because we are related by the blood of Christ”.
Fun and Frolic in Faith: We celebrate birthdays of everyone by cutting the cake. Once in a year we go for a daylong retreat wherein we are guided by God provided resource people to spend quality time with God and with one another. We have fun activities and ice breakers during our time of fellowship lead by Mr. Ashley.
Our Virtual Network: Several of our youth members may not be able to be part of our weekly activities due to commitments relating to work, studies etc. Yet, we are proud to keep in constant touch via an active and exciting youth email group and this blog. We send out communications, minutes of the fellowship, summary of the youth fellowship message, ideas, doubts, discussions, planning, testimonies, prayer requests, photographs.
